The first K2 main battle
The first K2 main battle tanks and K9 self-propelled howitzers were unloaded in the port of Gdynia.
The first delivery included 10 tanks and 24 K9A1 howitzers. In July, a framework contract was signed with Hyundai Rotem for the supply of up to 1,000 K2/K2PL tanks, and in August - the first executive contract for the supply of 180 tanks together with a training package, logistics and simulators in the years 2022-2025, for the amount of USD 3.34 billion. The contract also includes an ammunition package, the first tanks will go to the 20th Mechanized Brigade.
