This video will show you hot to do a Gong Bu punch properly. This punch is also known as a reverse punch, or Gyaku Zuki in Karate.

Switching from Ma Bu to Gong Bu is one of the fundamental skills used in Kung Fu and so it is vitally important to get the technique right if you're to get really good at Kung Fu.

Gong Bu punches are a fundamental training drill in many styles of martial arts, especially Kung Fu as they simulate an exaggerated version of a cross. Learning to generate power in this large frame can then help in generating power as you try to make the movements smaller and smaller. This movement also helps to build hip mobility and coordination between the upper and lower body.
