Time in the Marvel Universe is a bit weird. Originally, it flowed in real time with Captain America, Iron Man, and Fantastic Four aging they way they would in real life. But when one of Marvel's most popular characters, Spider-Man, started growing up too fast, they had to slow time down in order to keep him and the rest of their pantheon of superheroes young.
