Kavi Sammelan Banaras 1994

Rare and raw footage from 1994 of the blasphemous poets festival which used to be held on the night ofHoli every year in Assi, Banaras (Varanasi). The coloured powder being thrown destroyed my camera, and the tape was unplayable for 14 years, but then it miraculously came back to life. So here it is: a wonderful lost tradition.
