Hey everyone, welcome back. And in today’s video, we’re gonna be talking about some cons I’ve found while testing out . Now as you may already know, is one of the most popular VPN services out there, and in terms of quality, it’s right there at the top. But at the end of the day, no VPN service is perfect, and even the top services, such as , could improve in a few areas. So today, we’re gonna be exploring a few cons, but by no means are any of them deal breakers. They're just some nitpicks I found while testing out this service that might be important to a small number of people, but generally, they can be overlooked given how great and affordable the service is. Especially if you want to torrent safely without your ISP ever finding out what you're torrenting, if you want to access a whole bunch of streaming services, or if you just want a strict privacy policy that keeps your data secure, then is one of the best choices. And without further ado, let’s get started with these cons! Now, the first con I’ve found with is that not all the features available on the PC and Android versions of the service are available on Apple devices. That’s due to the difference between hardware and the fact that Apple's operating systems, which are MacOS and iOS, are generally more restrictive than Windows and Android. For example, split tunneling will be one of these features. If you're not familiar with split tunneling, it will allow you to choose which applications are routed through the VPN and which ones are not. And this is a very useful feature, especially when you get your hands on it and realize how great it can be. Basically, you can have selected applications use the VPN while the rest of your network is left outside the VPN tunnel. I really like having this feature, and I use it a lot, especially when I want to only have my torrenting client or browser use the VPN while the rest of my connection is left outside the VPN. And so if you really want split tunneling, because it's such a useful feature, you won't be getting it on your iOS devices, or Mac OS, for that matter. But if you don't use any of these devices, this shouldn't matter to you at all. And finally, the last con I’ve found while testing out is that configuring and setting up OpenVPN on your router is not user-friendly, and that might require some technical expertise in order to get it set up on your router. Now, if you don't care about setting up on your router, that's really not an issue. Again, some of these cons, or maybe all of them, are kind of nitpicks. No VPN is perfect at the end of the day. So overall, remains a solid choice for many other reasons, and if you're not looking for any of the things that I mentioned today, such as granular control over your protocols, port forwarding, or Split tunneling on your Apple devices, is a great pick, especially if you're looking for a well-rounded and affordable service.
