In her »Elbphilharmonie Session«, Claire Huangci plays Johannes Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 1. The Hungarian Dances are among the best-known of the Hamburg composer’s piano works, and were actually written for two pianists playing four hands on one keyboard. The solo piano version performed here distributes the notes between just two hands – and thus demands an advanced technical level.
