Five Common Mistakes to Avoid when Installing an SSD on a PS5.
Looking to upgrade your PS5 storage by installing an SSD expansion? Great idea! But before you dive in, make sure you know about these FIVE Common mistakes to avoid for a smooth installation process.
First, make sure you get an SSD with heat synch. Do not install the SSD without a heat synch because Sony emphasized on it's performance to avoid performance issues.
Second make sure you install the heatsink on top of the SSD after you install the SSD in it's place.
Third, ensure that the spacer sits under the SSD and not on top. If you place it on top, it could lead to improper alignment and potentially damage your console.
Fourth, be careful when inserting the SSD as lifting too much on the connecting end can cause damage. Just lift slightly and insert it properly.
Lastly, do not forget to reattach the cover. It's a small but important step to ensure your console is properly sealed and protected.
