Canon 5D Mark IV Day-to-Night Timelapse Examples With Flicker Mode Active

Testing the built in Flicker mode on the Canon 5D Mark IV DSLR. This sequence was taken in AV mode with no edits other than color correction being applied in Adobe After Effects version 11.0.4.2

Correction: Flicker mode is not to be confused with post-production deflicker adjustments. Canon’s Flicker mode adjusts the timing of the shutter release to capture the peak of illumination for subjects primarily illuminated by discontinuous spectrum light sources, such as fluorescents, mercury vapor, etc.  While no adverse effects result from using this mode in time-lapse there is no benefit unless shooting under artificial light.
