Patellar Tap Test || Clinical Methods

What is patellar tap test? How to perform patellar tap test? What to see in patellar tap test?
Technique: Ask the patient to lie spine with knees extended. Put the left hand above the knee (suprapatellar pouch) to squeeze the fluid under kneecap. Then, press the kneecap with right middle and index fingers up and down. Test is positive if the kneecap is felt going down to touch the underlying femur and rebounds on releasing the pressure.
