Epiphone Hummingbird Studio - This bird can hum!

This guitar surprised me. I didn't know what to expect, but when I first tried it I was instantly greeted with a big and lush tone. For 449 dollars you get a lot of guitar. Fit and finish is great. The setup was a little stiff, but played good enough for me to still enjoy it. I didn't set it up since it was a loaner from a store, and a string change would probably have done good things for the Hummingbird studio too. The dynamic range of the guitar is limited, so don't expect small nuances and details, and when strumming it hard it would compress fairly quickly. it's still a very responsive guitar, don't get me wrong. - and funnily enough I enjoyed fingerstyle playing more than strumming it. Overall I will recommend the Epiphone Hummingbird Studio - It's beautiful and great sounding that won't cost you an arm and a leg.
