Overall, we’re really impressed with the Blitz Air Bike 2.0 from Bells Of Steel. It’s an excellent budget pick but certainly doesn’t lack in anything. In our testing, we’ve found it to be comparable to higher-end models.
The steel frame and wide stabilizers make this bike feel incredibly solid. It has a 350 lb weight capacity and the Blitz Bike weighs 118 lbs. There are front transportation wheels so when you lift up the back end of the bike, those engage. The Blitz Bike is a little harder to move around because of the positioning of the fan. If you tilt it up too high, the fan hits the floor, so you have to bend down a little more to move the bike.
The fan is large at 25” and this is where the bike generates tension and sound. The Blitz Air Bike offers an unlimited amount of tension when pedaling and moving the handlebars, like other air bikes. It also has a belt drive system which makes it smoother to use and a little quieter. Keep in mind though that this is an air bike so it does make noise and isn’t best for all home spaces.
The belt drive overall requires less maintenance than chain drive systems. The belt drive is what attaches the pedals to the fan. The pedals are metal and textured for a good grip and they allow for pedaling forward and back.
The handlebars move in conjunction with the pedals for a total body, low-impact, high-intensity workout. The handles are pretty standard, but slim so smaller users can wrap their hands around them.
The seat is very comfortable and adjustable up/down and forward/back so most users should get a good bike fit. Our reviewers ranging from 5’1” to 6’5” can fit well on the Bells Of Steel Blitz Bike.
I really like how straightforward the console is to use. It does have limited tech, so if you’re looking for an air bike with Bluetooth connectivity we recommend checking out the AssaultBike Elite. However, the workout modes available are plenty for targeted training.
