American TV 'psychic' John Edward says he experienced a great amount of paranormal activity as a child.

From an early age Edward knew he was somehow different, but he didn't start off a 'true believer'.
Psychic phenomena were widely accepted by his mother's Italian family, but his father, a New York City police officer, was sceptical.
"It made him very uncomfortable. I think it was because he couldn't control it and he couldn't understand it, so therefore it couldn't be possible," Edward said.
"My mum and dad didn't have a great relationship, and my dad had an alcohol problem."
His parents eventually divorced when he became a teenager.
Edward moved in with his mother and was suddenly plunged into the world of spirits and psychic readings, despite inheriting a healthy dose of his father's scepticism.
