On April 24, 2013 the
On April 24, 2013 the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh collapsed. This tragic accident could have been prevented and garment workers all over the world are still forced to work in unsafe conditions, for brutally long hours and barely any pay- all so fast fashion companies can make massive profits selling the latest trends for cheap.
April 24th is Fashion Revolution Day, which was created to mark the anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse and to encourage customers and brands to think about the people making our clothing. The system needs to change and the true cost of cheap clothes needs to be recognized.
