The day B-29 enthusiasts have been waiting for -- both flyable B-29 Superfortresses, Fifi and Doc, took off and flew over EAA AirVenture 2017 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Tuesday, 25 July 2017. Here's our coverage of that flight. This could be the first time in more than 60 years that more than one B-29 has been aloft. And, yes, audiophiles we like engine sounds too -- but when the ambient audio is occasionally unusable (direction, distance, loudspeakers, slow motion, etc) -- that's when we must turn to the music.
