Hazratbal Mosque, Srinagar, Kashmir, India: Hazratbal Mosque also known as Dargah Sharif  is next to Mecca for Kashmiri Muslims. Moi-e-Muqqadus or the sacred hair of profet Hazrat Mohammad is preserved in Hazratbal Shrine. The history of this shrine dates back to the seventeenth century. The Hazratbal shrine is a marble structure that was specifically constructed by Muslim Auqaf Trust with the objective of preserving the Prophet's hair, this piece of hair arrived in Kashmir in the year 1699. The Moi-e-Muqqadus is usually on public display inside a glass casket on certain sacred and holy days.

Dargah Sharif is situated at the western bank of Dal Lake opposite to Nishat Bagh in Badgam district in Srinagar, Kashmir, India. This pilgrimage destination is known by a number of names viz the Assar-e-Sharif, Madinat-us-Sani and the Dargah Sharif. It provides peace to all souls. Hazratbal Shrine has beautiful architecture and layout. There is a breautiful garden at the backside of the Hazratbal Mosque. You can get the entire panoramic view of the Dal Lake from the backtyard of Hazratbal Mosque.
