"The Greater Bay Area Property Tour" has gained popularity and attracted many Hong Kong people to join the tour. However, former ATV artist and "Emperor Qin Shi Huang" Antony Lau claimed that after joining the tour to buy property in Guangzhou, he realized that the units had no property rights and he had only signed a lease agreement.
"HK01" reporters went to Guangzhou and discovered that some sales center staff members only explained the property rights issue of the apartments after repeated questioning by reporters. They even advised people to take personal loans in Hong Kong to buy properties. In addition, some salespersons described the future prospects of these properties without property rights optimistically, suggesting that tenants might even gain ownership in the future, which may mislead consumers.
