TOP Beautiful Kiger Mustang Horse in the World!
Kiger Mustang is a Mustang breed closely related to horses brought to America by conquistadors around the 1600s.
For the first time, Kiger-Mustangs were found in the state of Oregon.
The Kiger Mustang is a half-breed Mustang, a wild horse found in the United States. In 1971, defenders of free-ranging horses appealed to the country's Congress to protect and control these animals, and in 1977, during an inspection of herds of wild horses in the state of Oregon, it was found that some of these animals had similar external characteristics and similar color. Scientists at the University of Kentucky examined the DNA of wild horses and found that it is similar to the DNA of Spanish Mustangs. Hippologist E. Ron Harding separated similar horses and released them into the wild in another area. In 1988, the Kiger Mustang Association was created to preserve this rare species. At the same time, the breed register and standard were established. Since then, herds of kyger Mustangs have been periodically observed, counted and branded. Some horses are selected for adaptation among people, the rest are returned to pasture.
Kiger Mustangs are short - up to 140 cm at the withers. They have a nice medium-sized head with very expressive eyes, a broad and deep chest, a short sacral line, a broad and muscular back.
The color is gray-brown with a reddish tint. The mane is usually black or dark brown. May have markings like zebra stripes on the legs or back.
Kiger Mustangs are characterized by endurance, intelligence and liveliness, which makes them ideal for riding.
In the movie "Spirit: Soul of the Prairies" the image of a mustang named "Spirit" was used, and the prototype was a kiger mustang named Donner.
These horses are distinguished by liveliness, intelligence, and bravery. These are active and noble animals. They are hardy and perfectly adapted to their living conditions. Kiger Mustangs have a calm and compliant character and a good-natured, energetic temperament. These horses learn well and are trainable.
