A storm hit McLain while
A storm hit McLain while I was camped there in October of 2016. It wasn't the first and wouldn't be the last. Lake Superior is powerful and beautiful and so temperamental. McLain's Shower Building will be closed in 2017 but the cabins and campground are open, but showers and flush toilets aren't part of the amenities until the rebuilding on more stable ground takes place. People are still going there and enjoying all the beauty it still offers.
