Vaccination is a widely-used method of immunizing populations against communicable illnesses. In this video, we’ll show in detail the standard method of administering a vaccine. We cover not only the injection of the vaccine but also pre-injection and post-injection procedures that ensure safety and efficiency. The information in this video is especially important for care providers immunizing against COVID-19.

The CDC no longer recommends aspiration prior to injection because blood vessels local to the injection site are too small to pose a risk of intravascular injection.
