[NCLC 2023] Boost Critical Thinking in Chinese Language Classes

NEW YORK, April 28, 2003 — In the second workshop of the National Chinese Language Conference 2023, educators present strategies integrating higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) into instruction employing authentic materials and questioning techniques. Speakers include members of the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS): Yu-Lan Lin, former senior program director of World Languages of the Boston Public School, MA; Baocai Jia, former teacher and department chair at Fremont Union High School District, CA; Carol Chen-Lin, director of Choate Abroad Programs in China at Choate Rosemary Hall School, CT; and Lucy Chu Lee, teacher of AP Chinese at Seton Hall Preparatory School, NJ.
