How to fix an HP Compaq LA2405wg back light power supply.
If you have had this monitor since it was released then most likely the back light has gone out by now. I have had to replace many of these monitors at the company I work for and the common issue is the back light power supply.
Only cost is a few dollars per monitor. All you nee to do is replace 2 capacitors.
Mouser part number 661-EKYB350E681MJ20S Capacitor 680uf 35v
This may also work on similar models like the LA2205wg which has the same issues. Most monitors that will power on but wont show anything will usually have the same issue. Just replace the capacitors and you should be good to go.
