Interview with Dr. Samer Makhoul, consultant psychiatrist at REEM  neuroscience centre in Abu Dhabi on Sky News Arabia ,for a second time to discuss a new drug that is hitting the street of the USA and most recently Europe called "Zombie drug" because of the seriousness and the risks of this drug.

Xylazine, a non-opioid veterinary tranquilizer not approved for human use, has been linked  to significant increase in death due to the use in combination with Fentanyl as “Zombie drug “.

Also known as “tranq,” xylazine is a central nervous system depressant that can cause drowsiness and amnesia and slow breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure to dangerously low levels. Taking opioids in combination with xylazine increases the risk of life-threatening overdose. When injected into a person’s body, other than causing a dangerously slow heart rate it can cause large open skin wounds like ulcers and abscesses and this is why the zombie drug is called The “flesh eating” Zombie drug or “Skin rotting “

While Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 30-50 times more potent than heroin. Fentanyl is a drug generally prescribed for patients to manage severe pain after surgery. It may also be prescribed for patients with chronic pain who have built a physical tolerance to other opioids. Due to its potency , and high addictive qualities, it is considered one of the most dangerous substances around.

Together ,( Xylazine and Fentanyl), Zombie drug is bad news and one of the most dangerous drug ever created.
