Below I will have directions on how to make your own watercolor bookmarks:
Watercolor paper (Michaels)
Paint brushes (Michaels)
Reeves Watercolors (Michaels)
Ruler
When you have cut your watercolor paper to the size you want, take a paint brush of your choice and paint the part you would like to have color with water. This will insure that the paint will not leak to parts of the paper you do not want painted, and also helps spread color.
Once you have finished painting, let the paint dry. You can do this by using a hair dryer for faster results, but make sure not to use at an angle, because the wet paint might drip onto the sides. You can also take the corner of a tissue paper or toilet paper and lightly touch the part of the paper where there is too much water.
When your bookmark is completely dry, you can customize it to your liking. (Ex: splatter paint like I did to create a galaxy effect, or paint/write a quote of your choosing)
