Lawyers for Abby Zwerner, teacher shot by 6-year-old student, react to school admin charges

A former administrator at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia is facing felony child neglect charges in connection to a student shooting former teacher Abby Zwerner.

Zwerner was shot by one of her students on January 6, 2023. The student was just 6 years old at the time of the shooting.

Now, Ebony Parker, who was the school's assistant principal when the shooting happened, is accused of ignoring warnings that the child had a gun.
