Today we are going to tell you about a philanthropist Sai devotee, who is the world famous businessman of Chennai, Mr. K V Ramani ji. On 20 acres of land given by Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan, Shri. Pradeep Jain's 'Parshwanath Developers Company' did the construction work. 112 crores was spent for the construction which Mr. K V Ramani donated and 'Sai Ashram Bhakta Niwas' was built in Shirdi. Here one thousand five hundred thirty six rooms have been built for Sai devotees in 12 big buildings. Along with this, dormitories, halls, 27 thousand square feet lawn, common services block, restaurant and two thousand capacity 'open air theatre' have also been built.
Ramani was born in Malapur near Chennai. His father Krishnamurthy Iyer was a lawyer by profession. Tirupati was their clan-deity. During the year 1970, he started a job in the software industry, for about 15 years he worked in different countries. He later started his own business and within a few years his 'Future Software' company established it's dominance. He founded a company here by partnering with software company of America (USA). While living in Delhi, he also founded NASSCOM for the upliftment of the software industry. He was also the co-founder and chairman of NASSCOM i.e. The National Association of Software and Service Companies. He has also started 'Sai University' by donating 250 crore rupees to Shirdi Sai Trust. They help poor students financially. At the same time, millions of rupees are donated every year for the hospital expenses of poor patients. Along with this, he also bears the cost of 5 thousand heart operations per year. He had helped one crore rupees for the Sai Baba Superspeciality Hospital in the year 2004. Apart from this, he has donated for many things like information kiosk installation, computer installation, bus service, oxygen plant, biogas project of shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan.
