I purchased a used knitting machine back in October of 2023. A Singer Memo-Matic 700 with the Studio SRP-60 Ribber. I spent a lot of time doing a deep cleaning of the machine, learning how to properly align the ribber to the main bed and really not producing a single usable or complete item from it. It was so frustrating!

Finally while I was on vacation for the week after Christmas I spent all of my free time knitting a sock. It took the full week, multiple froggings, multiple start overs and tapping into some facebook machine knitting groups for advice to finally produce a single sock. Here I've recorded me fumbling my way through the second sock to make a pair. I am a rank beginner so this isn't at all meant as a tutorial. It's meant as encouragement to keep going and not shove your machine under a bed or in a basement. Keep going! Make mistakes, have fun and if it gets to be too much, cast on a hand knitting project that you can use to take a break.

Project is based on https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr... - a great beginner pattern that really breaks down all of the steps for machine knitting and includes details a beginner would most likely not know or forget to do.
