چآله ژړا ښه ده چاله خندا ښه ده
Tears suit some, while joy befits others,
چاله محل ښه دی چاله بیدیا ښه ده
Some prefer the mansion and some the wilderness,
دنیا هغه ښه ده که دنیا دا ښه ده
Is this world superior or the other one?
چاله هغه ښه او چاله دا ښه ده ده
To some, this life is worthwhile and to others, another life is rewarding,
ژوندې ته ساز ښه دی مړته دعا ښه ده
The living prefers melodies but the dead needs supplications,
بڼړیا له سود ښه دی ماله سودا ښه ده
The baniya (a Hindu trader) might prefer interest but I like trade,
د ملا عقل له خله ده ملا ښه ده
The maulvi’s speech befits his wisdom,

A hidden balance dwells within the eternal imbalance of this world,
پټ یو تار، هره بخۍ یي په هر ول کی ښکارا کیګی
