"This is a short I shot with Lauren Velez as La Lupe. If you don't know who La Lupe is, she was a legendary salsa singer from Cuba in the 1960's. Strong, independent, yet tragic artist. Her music loomed large in my home when I was a kid. It was Lauren's idea to do it. Her passion for La Lupe runs deep. She also played La Lupe on stage in New York. She did a fantastic job.
