How to fix the speedometer, instrument cluster/gauges, A/C from going crazy and not working on a 2009 Toyota Camry. Ask my Auto Mechanic gives tips and real advice on how to deal with a common problem on 2007-2009 Toyota Camry's. By replacing the ABS module.
Replacing the ABS module will require bleeding the brakes.
TOYOTA TECH Procedure:
Bleeding Sequence:
Start with wheel that is farthest from themaster cylinder.Bleed Procedure:
OEM Procedures
1st Start with wheel farthest from master cylinder.2nd Set parking brake.3rd Bleed the wheel calipers.4rth After bleeding the air from the brake system, if the height or feel of the brake pedal cannot be obtained, bleed air from the actuator assembly with hand held tester by following steps below.5th Depress the brake pedal more than 20 times with engine off.6th Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3 connector.7th Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.8th Select “AIR BLEEDING” on the scan tool.9th Bleed the air by following the steps displayed on the hand-held tester.
BACK YARD Procedure:
However most people do not have a scan tool..
So I would follow this... I have done it this way on this car personally.
1-While a friend is sitting in the car, You go to the Right Rear Wheel first.
2-Have your friend pump the pedal 10-times holding/pushing the brake pedal to the floor as you loosen the bleeder screw,then while your friend is holding the brake pedal to the floor tighten the bleeder screw
3-Then do step 2 on the Left Rear Wheel
4-Check the brake fluid level at this point and top it off
5-Then do step 2 on the Right front wheel.
6-Then do step 2 on the Left front wheel.
7-Check fluid level again.
8-Fallow this exact procedure again.
9-Double check the fluid level and then take out for test drive.
