Origin:
Spinous Processes of C7 – T1
Insertion:
Medial (Vertebral) Border of the Scapula Superior to Spine
Functions:
1- Retraction (Adduction) of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
2- Elevation of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
3- Downward Rotation of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
Nerve:
Dorsal Scapular Nerve
Rhomboid Major
Origin:
Spinous Processes of T2 – T5
Insertion:
Medial (Vertebral) Border of the Scapula Inferior to Spine
Functions:
1- Retraction (Adduction) of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
2- Elevation of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
3- Downward Rotation of the Scapula @ ScC Joints
Nerve:
Dorsal Scapular Nerve
