TB 2016: Otis Series M2 Traction Service Elevators at The Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, GA

This is an older video from 2016 that I decided to reupload as a seperate video as it was originally in my "Elevator Tour" video of this Famous Hotel, but some of the clips in that video were off in terms of audio and video sync, and I know that video is too long for some of you to watch, and since I have some extra time due to this whole COVID-19 thing, I decided I will reupload/remaster a few of my older videos as well as upload videos from 2018 and later that I never got to uploading.

As for the elevators, this was taken shortly after Otis completed modernization on the service elevators. As we all know they were originally Otis Elevonic 401s with Older Series 1 fixtures, but were modded in 2016 with Otis Series M2 Fixtures, New Cabs, New Lanterns, New Controllers, etc. I'd assume the motors were replaced as well, but according to @Train&Elevatorfan8150 they are not on the passenger cars, so they could be original, but other than that, total mod. Otis did a nice job with the mod, although I do wish that at least these elevators were kept original. At least when they modded them, they put in a VERY INTERESTING Lantern, and the Controllers act like Mitsubishi Controllers where they will cancel your call if you push a floor button multiple times. Pretty cool!
