Tips for a Successful Book Signing
Introduction
• How to make the MOST of your book signing
• I've done quite a few signings at this point, & because it's where I make the majority of my money as an author, here are my best tips to help you succeed.
Prepare Your Pitch
• Prepare your pitch BEFORE hand. Not having a pitch prepared will have you stumbling for your words & it doesn't help you when you're trying to tell people how awesome your book is.
Practice Your Pitch
• Practice your pitch outloud at least 20x.
• Say it to people until you aren't laughing, awkwardly stumbling, stuttering, or losing your place.
• Practice makes perfect and by doing this, your pitch will be as smooth as the freshly shaved jawline of your newest book boyfriend.
Make Your Table Look Appealing
• Make your table look really pretty & eye catching.
• The higher the books, the more attention they grab
• Banners, custome table clothes, signs, giant book covers, do it.
• Pick a theme. Don't iust randomly throw stuff on your table. Every author should have an aesthetic ✨️ You wanna be as pretty, or as epic, or as scary as the genre of your books. Pick one and go all in like the psycho villain who's destroying the entire world just because someone stole his last twkinie.
Greet Everyone
• Say HELLO to literally everyone who passes by.
• I've been next to authors who don't say a word to passer bys, and guess what? They don't get sales. ☹️
• Even if the person isn't looking your way, say, "Hi!" anyway.
• ✨️BONNER TIP✨️ (I mean BONUS tip...) If a person looks hesitant to approach your table, you better speak first and latch onto their souls and get them over to your table or else they'll....
• Smile 😃
Be Confident in Your Book
• Be confident & believe in your book(s).
• No self-deprecating & no saying shit like, "oh I know it isn't the best book..." or "it's not the best book in the world but..." Even as a joke, it rubs wrong every single time and makes your books look like they're not good. Even if a person doesn't think that to themselves, subconsciously, YOU, my dear author friend, have just planted the seed in their minds. Stop doing this.

Follow these steps and you'll have a successful book signing. Remember to be yourself, have fun, and share your amazing book baby with the world!
