Hardly any other piece of music stands for tradition in the German naval forces like the old Württemberg folk tune "Muss i denn zum Städtele hinaus"
Played here by the Wilhelmshaven Naval Music Corps under the direction of Lieutenant-Captain Christoph Schiffers.
The EGV "BONN" is moving to VJTF M in the North Sea and is expected back in its home port in April.
Incidentally, I managed the best recording of the piece to date, as I was able to record from the front with the main microphone. Support microphones on the right and left did the rest.

Kaum ein anderes Musikstück steht für Tradition bei deutschen Seestreitkräften wie die alte württembergische Volksweise "Muss i denn zum Städtele hinaus"
Hier gespielt vom Marinemusikkorps Wilhelmshaven unter Leitung von Kapitänleutnant Christoph Schiffers.
Der EGV "BONN" verlegt zur VJTF M in die Nordsee und wird im April im Heimathafen zurück erwartet.
Ganz nebenbei gelang mir die bisweilen beste Aufnahme des Stückes, da ich mit dem Hauptmikrofon von vorne abnehmen konnte. Sützmikros rechts und links besorgten den Rest.
