Neither film is good, but they have an interesting relationship with each other. In "Napoleon" by Ridley Scott, Joaquin Phoenix slips into the role of the great statesman who wanted to help France achieve new greatness. In "The Killer" by David Fincher, Michael Fassbender plays a contract killer who earns a lot of money by quietly going about his job, covering his tracks and not getting too emotionally involved. Both films negate the phantasm of the great man. They are works of deconstruction that are certainly no fun, but could possibly be salutary and enlightening, because the idea of the great man seems to be far from history. More on this from Wolfgang M. Schmitt in the film analysis.
