How to Clear a Plastic or Fiber Material Jam - Markforged Desktop 3D Printer

If you suspect a material jam on the Markforged Desktop printer, the first step is to identify where the jam has occurred.  For a plastic jam, heat the nozzle and disconnect the bowden tube to see if the extruder can push the material through.  If the extruder is working the nozzle is likely jammed and should be replaced.  If the extruder is jammed, follow the procedure here to clear it and reload.

Fiber jams can be more common with Aramid Fiber (Kevlar) as it is a more flexible material.  Review the feed and extruder components and replace any worn or damaged components or fiber material as needed to restore full functionality.
