Make sure the name matches with Passport, DS-160 and appointment confirmation
Photo should be a recent and unused for another purpose
Photo size should be 2x2
I-797 : Current , previous till the last stamped I-797

Child below 14 Years
Photocopy of each parent’s current passport biographic information page
Photocopy of each parent's valid U.S. visa page

Reach the VAC Centre 2 hours before
Look for a Photo Studio, PhotoCopy centre, Internet centre

How long it takes to get the passport
Passport can be delivered to any VAC Centre or Bluedart pickup centre near your ( quite few options )
If not premium delivery service for each passport for Rs 650
Time taken for deliver : 1 week to 3 weeks depends on the VAC centre
For me it took 10 days
