How to REMOVE KNEE Joint FLUID WITHOUT causing PAIN

I’ve performed thousands of knee injections and aspirations using my painless knee aspiration technique.  In most cases it can be performed effectively and without hurting the patient.

Supplies:

1cc syringe w 27 g needle to anesthetize the skin for anesthesia other option is ethyl chloride spray
1cc 1% plain Lidocaine

22 g needle for aspiration

Empty syringes to aspirate joint



Isopropyl alcohol

Betadyne (povidone-iodine)

Supine position

Pearls:
Shake and squeeze knee just before needle prick

Stay parallel to dorsal surface of patella.

Focus on trajectory.  Keep eye on knee.  

Use ultrasound if needed
