I recently was asked the same question twice, which means one thing: time for a blog post.

The question:  How do I make a button link to a place on the same page of my website (an anchor link) and if I have a one page website how do I build a navigation menu so the site visitor just skips to the place on the page that addresses the specific content.

The answer: It's not hard.  A few steps and you can do this!

First, let me show you How to Add an Anchor Link to a Button for a One Page Website.

1.  Design your page with your sections and modules.

2.  In the section where you wish to have the button land add a CSS ID.  This ID should not have characters or spaces - something like findusonthemap if you wish to connect your Find Us or aboutus if you are linking to your About section.

3. Go back to the module where you have your button and in the section for the button url and add the url.

4. Go to your Menus (Appearance, Menus). Create a New Menu.

5. On the left hand side of your screen choose Custom Link. Add the anchor link URL (i.e. http://www.domainname.com/#findusonth....

6. Add this to your newly created menu.

Now the second question: How do I create a navigation bar if my website only has one page?

Follow steps one - five above.

Step 6.  Under Link Text give your section a proper title - Find Us, About Us, Contact, Special Offer, etc.

Step 7: Choose Primary Menu under Menu Settings.

Once you do this once you will be a pro. Any questions let me know.
