Fix missing drivers for ELAN fingerprint USB sensor not automatically installed in Windows 10

I just got in the mail this USB fingerprint sensor off AliExpress, and while my other one had been automagically installed on my other laptop, this one wasn't being configured.
All I could see under "Other Devices" in Device Manager, was the name "ELAN:Fingerprint". Trying to automatically search for drivers failed. The Windows Update method suggested by Windows also didn't turn up anything (go figure).
I even went and downloaded drivers off Dell and Lenovo website after a search, yet windows refused to use those drivers when pointing to the .cat and .inf files.


Then I remembered about this technique of old times past.
