Birds, Bays and a Volcano // Rangitoto Island Loop Hike, NEW ZEALAND

Rangitoto is the volcanic island visible just off the coast of downtown Auckland. With a short ferry ride, one could hike around the island and summit the little volcano - enjoying much views, flora and fauna along the way. A great time! Got a chance to visit lovely Auckland back in June and seized the chance to do a couple of hikes near the city! Getting here: Simply walk or take a bus to the ferry terminal, and take the ferry to the pier at Rangitoto Island - from which the hike begins! You may need to get ferry tickets online.
