The storm threat increase for the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, where a tropical storm or even a hurricane could develop. Flooding rain near Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada, will move toward The Bahamas, Florida, Cuba, and Jamaica. With the super warm water, a tropical system could spin up next week. The Gulf States should watch this area closely, in particular Texas and Louisiana. If something develops, it could move toward parts of Texas, Louisiana, and even parts of Mexico. Most of this rain and storms stays south away from Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, Haiti, and The Dominican Republic, although we'll see a better chance of thunderstorms this weekend. In the Eastern Pacific, a developing system will become Hurricane Hilary. This will bring tropical storm to hurricane impacts for parts of Western Mexico, including Baja California, Cabo San Lucas, and the Gulf of California. Eventually, Hilary could bring flooding rain and gust winds to Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego. Arizona could also see rain from this tropical system. Thank you for sharing this channel and weather community with others. Thank you for your kindness and we go through a hectic hurricane season. - Brian
