I follow the BCN mainline
I follow the BCN mainline and old-line to the Galton valley - west midlands in search of some history looking at some interesting things such as a toll man's office , sandwell park colliery wharf on the canal and also the Galton pumping station before moving to Galton bridge to see what history it offers to see .
Galton valley was dug out artificially this meant the Galton bridge had to be built to access one side designed by Thomas Telford and built in the 18th century by the horseley iron works in Tipton
