The full form of RTI is Right to Information. The Right to Information Act, 2005 was passed by the Indian Parliament on June 15, 2005, and came into effect on October 12, 2005.
The basic objective of the Right to Information Act (RTI) is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Public Authorities, contain corruption, and make our democracy work for the people in real sense.
