This is probably the easiest and most rewarding beginner friendly sewing project I could possibly make - luxurious handmade silk pillowcases. In this step by step sewing tutorial I teach you how to sew silk pillow cases from scratch. You could also make satin pillowcases, or really any fabric that you love. This sewing project is perfect for any home and would be great for yourself or to gift to a friend. I made these silk pillowcases as a Christmas gift, but I love them so much that I might have to sew some for myself as well!
