Unveiling of Marker of the New Maguindanao Provincial Capitol Building 2/11/2019

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the unveiling of marker of the new Maguindanao Provincial Capitol Building at the Municipality of Buluan in the province of Maguindanao.

Maguindanao Governor Esmael Mangudadatu assisted President Duterte during the ceremony.

After the unveiling, the President viewed the display of handwoven products such as shoes, hats and clutches that form part of the annual Maguindanao Inaul Festival.

The fine tradition of Inaul loom weaving is a pre-colonial art founded among old indigenous nations using a special thread. In its earliest form, Inaul is made of thread called Sutra.

Present during the event were Maguindanao’s local government officials.
