Simo Hayha: The Deadliest Sniper in History

Over just one hundred days, in a little-known theater of the Second World War, the quiet son of a Finnish farmer would claim the lives of as many as five hundred and forty Red Army soldiers. He would do so whilst fighting in the most extreme winter weather conditions imaginable, under heavy fire from Soviet artillery, and all while using an outdated rifle which he’d brought from home. His name was Simo Häyhä, but to those who knew and feared him, he was called The White Death. This is his story.
