VIDEO | Aftermath of fiery crash on State Route 8 in Summit County

A driver of a tanker truck is dead following a fiery crash on State Route 8 in Summit County. The Summit County Sheriff's Office says that the crash happened at around 9:15 a.m. at the ramp to Interstate 271 north in Northfield Center Township. After an initial investigation, Sheriff’s deputies determined a tanker truck had been traveling northbound on State Route 8 and attempted to get on I-271 north when the truck lost control and went over the side of the bridge. Officials say that the truck landed on the northbound lanes of State Route 8 and went up in flames. The driver of the tanker truck died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.
