Westbound Norfolk Southern Intermodal Swerves into the Central Time Zone in New Carlisle, Indiana!!

I was sitting at the 900 E crossing at mile post 451 on the Chicago Line when this Norfolk Southern intermodal slaloms thru New Carlise on its way out of the Eastern Time Zone around 4:45 pm. This train originated in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the 47th Street Yard in Chicago, Illinois.

I know it is slightly dark on this side of the train. I wouldn’t have been able to show you the train approaching the curves if I stood on the sunnier side of the tracks.

Note: If you’ve never railfanned at this crossing before,  pay attention to the block signal lights. They are off obviously when a train isn’t in the block but when they do illuminate the train will be there very soon. Especially if it’s a westbound. The green light turned on and this train showed up about 2 minutes later.
