Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inspected the flood-affected areas in Dibrugarh on July 05. More than 3.86 lakh people are taking shelter in 515 relief camps and distribution centers set up by the administration in 24 flood-hit districts. “... The flood situation in Assam has improved and the water has resided. But the flood situation continues at the places where there has been a breach of the embedment... The power supply has been cut for the safety of the people... The power can be restored in 2 minutes... But the power has been cut off as there is water everywhere... The drains in Dibrugarh are clogged because there is encroachment and drains are not being cleaned as the equipment cannot enter. We will discuss how we can clean it with smaller equipment... Eviction is not appropriate during floods. We will see what to do after the water resides...,” said Himanta Biswa Sarma. #assam #assamfloods #floods #dibrugarh #himantabiswasarma #assamcm #assamnews #brahmaputrariver #waterlogging ------------ Liked the video?
