Diary entries for GP practices are really easy to set up. Let me share with you the recall system we use for GP land in this Easy Emis Tutorial about creating a template with your recall codes and then creating a simple search to find them. Finally, let's share some of the Emis Web recall codes for diary entries that we use in our practice!

The system is simple:
1. You see a patient, feel something needs double checking in a while, maybe a few weeks, a few months or even a few years.
2. You access your template - add a diary entry and you set the date.
3. Periodically, or monthly - one of your admin staff runs the search looking for these diary entries and sends a task to either an admin or clinical person to get in touch with the patient and sort it out.

Thyroid hormone tests
Diagnostic assessment
Diagnostic blood test
Lithium monitoring
Haemoglobin A1C - diabetic control interpretation
Serum cholesterol level
Prostate-specific antigen monitoring
Liver function monitoring
Annual Reviews:
Dementia annual review
Asthma annual review
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease annual review
Mental health review
Coronary heart disease review
Diabetic Annual Review
Cardiovascular disease annual review
Non-diabetic hyperglycaemia
Community disease modifying antirheumatic drug monitoring appointment
Procedures:
Injection of medroxyprogesterone acetate
Low dose diphtheria, tetanus and inactivated polio vaccination
Blood pressure monitoring
Insertion of intrauterine contraceptive device
Insertion of gonadorelin analogue implant
